About Me

I believe therapy works best when people feel like they can show up as themselves. My goal is to create a space that feels comfortable, collaborative, and genuine, where clients can explore what they are experiencing without feeling judged or pressured to have everything figured out.

My path into counseling has been shaped by a longstanding interest in people, performance, identity, relationships, and the stories we develop about ourselves over time. Before completing my training in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I earned a master's degree in Sport Psychology. That background continues to influence how I think about motivation, confidence, resilience, identity, pressure, and what helps people move toward meaningful goals.

My Approach to Therapy

My approach is primarily relational, strengths-based, and narrative. I believe our experiences influence the stories we tell ourselves about who we are, what we are capable of, and what our lives are supposed to look like. Therapy gives us an opportunity to slow down, examine those stories, recognize patterns that may no longer be serving us, and begin creating something different.

I also integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other evidence-based strategies when practical tools can help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I do not believe therapy should look exactly the same for everyone, so I work collaboratively with each client to find an approach that fits their personality, needs, and goals.

Who I Work With

I work with adults and adolescents in the Denver and Aurora area on anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, self-esteem, substance use, and identity-related concerns.

I see individuals rather than couples or families, and I am comfortable with clients who are managing both mental health and substance use concerns at the same time.

Sports Psychology and Mental Performance Counseling

My background in sport psychology gives me a particular interest in working with athletes and other high performers in the Denver metro area. Performance concerns are often about much more than what happens on the field, court, or stage. Confidence, perfectionism, pressure, motivation, injury, and identity outside of performance can all play a role, and so can the relationships around an athlete. I work with both the performance side and the personal side of those experiences.

What to Expect in Sessions

You can expect me to be curious, engaged, and genuine. I want therapy to feel like a conversation with purpose rather than a place where you are simply being analyzed. At times that may mean exploring experiences from the past, while at other times our work may focus more directly on what is happening in your life right now and what you would like to change.

My role is not to tell you who you should be, but to help you better understand yourself, identify what matters to you, and support you as you decide what you want your next steps to look like.

Education and Background

I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University, a Master of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Sport Psychology, and my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Georgia Southern University. I am registered with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies as a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate and practice under clinical supervision.

My clinical experience includes work with adults, adolescents, couples, and individuals navigating both mental health and substance use concerns.

A Little More About Me

I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia, and have called Colorado home for the past six years. Outside of counseling, two of my biggest interests are sports and film. I have always been drawn to storytelling, whether that means getting invested in a great movie or series or working on stories of my own. Sports have been a constant throughout my life, both as a fan and through my interest in the psychological side of competition and performance.

When I am not working, you can usually find me watching a movie, keeping up with sports, writing, or spending time with the people and animals that are important to me.
