BIO

I was born and raised on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts, and I brought that background with me when I came to the United States nine years ago. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over sixteen years as an educator — some of the most rewarding work of my life, and the foundation for everything I do now.

As a Black woman who grew up in St. Kitts and built a life across two countries, I understand what it means to navigate unfamiliar systems, to carry one culture while adapting to another, and to find your footing when the ground keeps shifting. That experience shapes how I listen and how I show up for the people I work with.

​

My clinical approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I am licensed as an LPCC in Colorado and work with children, teenagers, adults, and couples across Denver, Aurora, and the Central Park neighborhood. I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Capella University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Syracuse University, where I also practiced as a guidance counselor.

Leading The Therapy Lab:

Voyages Counseling's small-group therapy program for teens in the Denver metro area is a natural extension of both careers. I spent sixteen years in classrooms watching teenagers struggle, not because they lacked awareness, but because awareness alone rarely changes behavior under pressure. They knew what they were supposed to do. Doing it when frustrated, overwhelmed, or stuck was a different challenge entirely. That is the problem this program is designed to address.

Outside the therapy room, I am a wife, a mother of two daughters, and, by universal consensus, the best aunt on the planet. I read murder mysteries and psychological thrillers, game, sing, craft, and spend time with my family in the Colorado mountains — but honestly, nothing can replace the ocean.

The Therapy Lab is a small-group program for teens ages 13–17 launching summer 2026. Groups are kept intentionally small — four to six participants — with sessions built around real-time coaching rather than discussion alone.
